It finally happened... We seem to have hit the limit of adventurers that we'll be able to crowd into our dank, dungeony hall, and so we've had to shut down registrations. We do apologize to anyone that didn't get a chance to sign up, and we sincerely thank everyone that has already helped support this event.

Also, if you have signed up, but do not think you will be able to make it to the event, for whatever reason, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can open up space for someone else. We would like to provide as much opportunity as possible for everyone that's interested to come hang out and have fun.

Finally, once again, a big thank you to all the adventurers! Time is ticking down, so get out there and hit up your wealthy patrons for that shiny new sword you'll need in order to crown yourself the ultimate champion.

Behold the coveted Lost Crown!

That's right, boys and girls... This is the crown you will be searching, fighting, and (possibly) dying for. Repeat after me: "Oooh, shiny!" And, for those of you wondering, yes it is made of metal. No, it's not a cheap plastic knock-off. That's right, this will be that chance you've been dreaming of to lord over your friends and family all the limitless power that a bit of metal sitting on one's head bestows. Imagine: you, feasting in your great hall, issuing decrees that echo out across the land! Or, at the very least, they might let you cut in line when buying that bagel at the corner deli.

BUT, if you want to be able to lord your fancy new king- or queen-like powers over everyone you meet, you'd better keep raising money. New items are put up regularly, and as we move closer to the date of the adventure, more and more powerful spells, item, and equipment will be added to the market. Since the last update, Minerva the Fair and The Tiger Cub are both edging toward the previous high-roller, Chock Tandler. With only $25 separating the first and second most wealthy adventurers, it's definitely shaping up to be an interesting quest!

Thanks to all of you for signing up! And congratulations to Chock Tandler for raising the most gold pieces so far. All you other adventurers might want to check out the Marketplace to see the great spells and items you'll be able to buy on May 9th. Our benevolent Dungeon Master has added a couple more today (including a magic cloak that changes you into an Ogre) and he will continue to add more every day right up until game day. So make sure you start raising some gold or old Chock's going to run away with the crown and all the glory without any competition! (And remember, every penny you raise will go 100% towards supporting the free programing at 826NYC.)
