826NYC is a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging New York City students ages 6 to 18 in creative writing and other activities to support their education. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our donors and volunteers, we are able to provide free writing workshops, after-school homework help, in-class support, and field trips to over 2,000 New York City students and their schools each year.
All of our programs are provided at no cost to our students, their schools or families. Please join us and support the next generation of essayists, playwrights, journalists, comic-book writers, and poets.
