One Sad Peanut
February 15, 2007
This afternoon, 826NYC meets for a fourth session with 9th graders at the Academy for College Preparation and Career Exploration. The students have been creating a collection of graphic short stories about runaway dogs, alien invaders, parents gone missing, Juilliard hopefuls, and so on.
Here's a sneak peak of one student's story, which involves a nervous peanut and an upcoming basketball game.
Choosing Your Own Adventure - Now Available
February 13, 2007
We're happy to announce the newest addition to our list of available field trips: Choosing Your Own Adventure. During this workshop, which is best suited for grades 4 through 8, classes will create an original choose-your-own-adventure story, follow its twists and turns, and write its multiple conclusions - all in the course of 2 hours. At the end of each session, students will take home a copy of the class's adventures, bound together in a pint-sized book.
Teachers may request a field trip through our field trips page. But please hurry! We have only a few spaces available in May and June 2007.
