This Week: Sodapop! Micro-Nations!

We start off the week by wrapping up what could be one of the most ground-breaking magazines this year, Sodapop!, created during our Magazine Magic: Create Your Very Own Zine! workshop. Rumor has it there's everything from love horoscopes to music reviews, and plenty of fashion tips throughout. We can't wait to see the final copy!

On Wednesday, we'll venture into unmarked territories in our Surveying Lost Brooklyn: Create Your Own Micro-Nation! workshop. In four sessions students will be exploring those parts of Brooklyn that have yet to be discovered, and making sure to claim them with their very own flag no less. We wonder what kind of secret lairs and worlds our students might find in very own backyards.

With gardens in bloom, and jackets in hibernation, we're gearing up for summer with a great selection of workshops. Everything from puppet-musicals to stop-motion animation hits 826NYC this July, with a film screening scheduled for August 26th (that's right: 8/26!). This is the last day we'll be taking names for our summer lotteries, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible!

We're also looking forward to an exciting set of workshops this May, creating micro-nations and pretty disgusting poetry. So, make sure to sign up for all these and more!
