There once was a man named Mr. I Don’t Know Empty. He was a king but he was crazy and he did not know anything. He was 84 years old, he had no hair, he was short, and his left hand’s thumb was missing. He had an old castle and a deadly dungeon.
The dungeon smelled like old socks. And it was rusty and dark and the floor was like quicksand. Mr. I Don’t Know Empty used the dungeon to keep his dragon, Flame. Flame came from Mr. Stinky’s castle and Flame can blow fire. Mr. I Don’t Know Empty keeps Flame in the dungeon because he’s bad and he could kill people.
But here’s what nobody knows: Five thousand people have snuck into Flame’s dungeon over the past hour. They were the mystery solvers and they were there to kill Flame with potions made of lemons to make Flame sour so Flame could faint. When he fainted, the mystery solvers would kill him with a knife made of steel. Instead they got blown to ash by Flame’s flame.
One minute later, Mr. I Don’t Know Empty came in the deadly dungeon and he saw all the people that were dead – all five thousand of them. He gave them to Flame because Flame likes to eat people ashes. There were no police because Mr. I Don’t Know Empty’s castle was in the country where no one lived. And that is the mystery of the deadly dungeon.
