The Story of the World

by Collette, age 7

Written during Mythmakers, taught by Martha Mihalick

November 2006

Dragons took over the world when they got to the Volcano of Doom. All the dragons in the world made a gigantic circle around the volcano and blew all their fire in the circle, and it closed the volcano to erupt. The dragons were fine because they were used to the fire. The dinosaurs were not, so they burned up.

Then the unicorns and pegasusesssssses came. They zapped the dragons, “ZAPPPPPP!”

The dragons became birds and airplanes and made all kinds of things.

“We shall come back in three thousand years!” the unicorns and pegasusesssssses said. Today is the day they come back from heaven. So come to the Volcano of Doom. Wick is now called the non-erupting volcano.

Come now! It’s your only chance to see unicorns and pegasusesssssses!!!!!
