The Sad Story of Carina

Just a typical day at Prospect Park. Carina waits for her friend Kate to play, then she goes to the bookstore to buy two books. Carina loves to read and hang out with her friend Kate. She is 16 and goes to school in Williamsburg. She is nice and sort of smart. Carina never gets anywhere on time.

What Carina really wanted more than anything else was to get married because when she had a boyfriend he dumped her. His name was Freddie Kruger. He wasn't very nice to her. He always got in fights with her and always picked her up after midnight. He dumped her because he found another girl. Carina felt like her pet had died. This was two years ago.

So Carina went looking for a new boyfriend at school. She went into different rooms in the school and asked, "Will you take me to the prom?" The boys said, "No!" All of them. Except one.

Jason was 18 and handsome. He was alone. He wore a shirt and sweater vest. He was an artist and basketball player. He got trained to cook after school.

When he saw Carina, he had a crush on her. And Carina had a crush on him.

Carina wore a pink dress to the dance, Jason wore a black suit and brought a corsage for Carina to wear. Carina introduced Jason to her mother and father.

Carina's father said, "Jason, you have a chance for your dream to come true. You can be with my daughter."

Jason drove Carina to the dance. When they got there, he met Carina's friend Kate. Kate was wearing a big, poofy, brownish gown with flowers at the bottom. The song, "I Was Made for Loving You" by Kiss was playing.

"Kate, may I have this dance?" Jason asked.

"Yeah." Kate said. Carina saw Jason dancing with Kate. And when the music stopped, Jason started kissing Kate. Kate kissed Jason back. Carina started crying. She lost her boyfriend and her friend.

The next day, Carina saw Jason at his locker and Jason saw Carina. He didn’t tell her that he met Kate.
So, he keeps it a secret from her, but then Carina went to Olive Garden with her family and saw them on a date! She went into the bathroom and cried and cried and cried.

Then Jason went to the bathroom and he heard someone crying. She came out and he noticed it was Carina. She asked him, "What are you doing here?" Jason lied to her and said he was with his family but Carina asked him, "Where is your family?"

Jason said, "They left already." She told him she knew he was lying. Jason asks how she knows that and she replies.

"I saw you with Kate." Carina says to him, "IT'S OVER!" Carina tells her family to pick another Olive Garden to go to. Jason and Kate stay at the same Olive Garden and order the special pasta and rice and spinach. But they both get a little bit sick later because Carina put a chicken-pox disease in the spinach when they weren’t looking. Carina left with her family but they could not find another Olive Garden so they were hungry all night.
